Introducing the Sports Tracker Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor

Key features

  • Accurate real-time heart rate measurement
  • Extended connection range
  • Rechargeable
  • Comfortable premium quality textile strap
  • Android and Nokia Symbian compatible

The brand new Sports Tracker Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor is now available for pre-order. Designed, developed and tested in Finland by your very own Team Sports Tracker (with a lot of key input from Trackers from around the world) the Sports Tracker HRM is the perfect companion for your Sports Tracker Android or Nokia Symbian app.

When developing the new Sports Tracker HRM one of the key things has been extending the connection range to make sure the belt and the sensor won’t lose connection to your phone no matter what you are up to.

Another thing we wanted to have was to be able to recharge the sensor. No need to worry about the battery running out – just plug in the sensor to the USB charger and you can always be sure that you have enough juice for that important workout :)

We are very proud of the results and hope that you will feel the same way!

To celebrate the launch we’ve got a great pre-order offer lined up for all you trackers out there. The monitor will start shipping in September and if you pre-order now you will get 10€ off + free shipping to anywhere in the world!

Since last sport-tracker updates have problems with HRM.
What I pair with the application, perfect, I wear clothes and riding a bike has been disconnected and no way to pair again. That did not happen before.

    hola

    Gracias.

Hi Jose, sorry to hear you have a problem with the belt. Please could you contact us via support to get assistance: http://support.sports-tracker.com/customer/portal/emails/new?q=flash

        Hola Katja,
        Atentamente
        Jose Manuel Medina

        Hi Katja,
the end, the heart rate monitor (ST HRM2) is well. In my case, the strap on my back has to be above the heart rate monitor to measure well. since the lower belt starts getting errors. Now, I hardly even needed to wet the strap … ;D
        Attentively
        Jose Manuel Medina

Glad to hear the belt works now and thanks for sharing the tip, maybe it helps others as well. Happy tracking!

  3. Pettynyt

Aluksi kesti 45min yhteys sit vaan on vähentynyt hiljalleen.

    1. Pettynyt

Samaa asiaa sadattelin juuri eilen. Käytössä on takuuvaihdettu alle 20h käytetty mittari, jota on ladattava käytännössä 1-2 tunnin käytön jälkeen. Ja lupauksethan on sanasta sanaan “Operation time on full charge: approximately 40 hours”. Vaihdon halusin samasta syystä eli vaihtamalla ei parane,

      1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

    Hi,

iPhone support is definitely needed. It seems a bit strange that the first phone on the front page of ST as well as most of the pics of the app is with iPhone and then this great enhancement is not published for the device. Hope you can work on it fast! (I’m guessing it’s not that easy with Apple? :D )

    -TM

    1. senthil

Yes, waiting to get the HRM support for iphone

  10. Ggnickar

Hi. I would really be interested in the heart rate monitor. When will it be available for iPhone? Brgds niclas

    1. koldex

I have a same question as I assume many other people as well. IPhone support is a must!

  11. nick

Hello, When is the bleutooth polar function for the windows phone availible? Is nokia working on that?

    1. Katja/ team Sports Tracker

Hi, no news on that. Sorry!

  12. Mario

    1. Markus

The competition (hint: their name starts with the letter E) has ANT+ support. You really should too. Sony makes ANT+ equipped sportsphones, my Nokia N8 is going to be replaced with one of those eventually. This makes just too much sense, especially for bicycling.

      1. francois

Ant+ would be such a big win for this app. Using a garmin soft strap on endomondo. Would do the switch in a blink on an eye if ant devices are supported on this. For now keeping the app installed, waiting for that release to take my android 4.3 s4 to the next level at training

  13. nima

can i use this to another app in android device?
ex. use endomondo with Sports Tracker Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor?!!

  14. Marek

    Hi,
my question is – whether the newest HRM has been tested with Nokia E72. If so, have there been any problems with connection or working.
I will be greatful for your reply.

  15. Martin

Hello Jussi, is there any estimated date on when this monitor will be available to Mexico? :)

Thanks, keep up the good work!

  16. DimitrisF

Hi, I have a nokia 5230. I can pair the HRM with the phone through the bluetooth settings but and i am unable to connect the HRM with the sports tracker application. please help. thanks in advance

  17. Ivo Tobaldini

    Hi!
    – I’m thinking to buy the ST HRM. I have a Nokia N8.
Are the problems between N8 and the HRM solved?
    – How many days to ship it to Italy more or less?
    Thanks,
    Ivo

  18. Josep de Martí

    Dear sirs,

Can I buy the heart monitor for my iphone 4 where I have the Sports Tracker installed.

    Thank you

  19. Jose Antonio

It is unfortunate that persist in refusing to allow users who have heart rate monitor with ANT + technology can link our phones with these keys, since this way I personally undertake to continue using the app my tracks in addition to free allows me to link the heart rate monitor and then download the file so you can import into any program that I like. It is more cumbersome but free.

  20. Jose Antonio

  21. Phil M

I am looking for a solution for using the HRM with the Driod Samsung Charge phone. My monitor seems to only work for about a minutes and then it quits. I’ve tried everything that has been suggested on this site.

  22. Dave

When will the Sports Tracker Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor be back in stock ?

    1. Jussi Solja

      Hi Dave!

It is in stock – we are having some trouble with our e-commerce software as it keeps on changing the belt to be out of stock. Go ahead and order :)

      – Jussi / Team ST

  23. Oscar

    Hello.

Is it works whit other programs like Endomondo or only with Sports Tracker?
If it work with Endomondo too, can I use this two programs at the same time with my heart rate register?

    Thanks

    1. Karl

Sadly, I can’t pair ST heartrate belt with endomondo. And considering that they are competitors they won’t answer questions considering compatiblity or it is just excluded. The problem I actually have is that endomondo and Sports tracker never show the same distance. There is sometimes almost 2 km difference between those two just on 10 km track and I considering endomondo more accurate.

  24. ananas

I bought the Sports Tracker Bluetooth Heart Rate from you. There is no belt size on the listing. Is this one-size fits all? It will fit on anybody? Thank you.

  25. Erwin Montes

So… I got no response… then I will have to buy the Zephyr model or another HRM that I can import to México.

    Greetings.

    1. Jussi Solja

      Hi Erwin!

Sorry for not replying earlier. We don’t yet have the required official approvals for the ST HRM in Mexico. So we are not allowed to sell it to Mexico at this time unfortunately.

Hopefully this will change in the near future!

      – Jussi / Team ST

  26. Nick

I got my HRM a couple of days ago and i’m extremely disappointed with it.

I’m not sure if the battery is at fault or something else but I usually have to recharge it before each use and that is regardless of how long it has been used the last time and the length of time between sessions.

It sometimes takes ages for my N8 to make the connection. My phone doesn’t have any problems making any other Bluetooth connections with other devices.

    Really disappointing :(

    1. Jussi Solja

      Hi Nick!

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your HRM. Please send your contact details to feedback@blog.sports-tracker.com and our support team will be in touch with you asap!

      – Jussi / Team ST

      1. Nick

Many thanks for the reply Jussi.

        Email sent :)

        All the best,

        Nick.

P.S – I noticed further down in the comments that someone else with a Nokia N8 has connection issues with the HRM. Is this something that Sports Tracker can address with an update?

        1. Jussi Solja

          Hi Nick!

The team is looking in to all issues reported – we might not always be able to respond to everyone personally but we do go through all the feedback :)

And as for the N8 issue – yes we are looking in to that as well :)

          Thanks for your patience!

          – Jussi / Team ST

  27. Arno Parviainen

When do you start shipping? Please let us know. Earlier info was that beginning this week.

    1. Jussi Solja

      Hi!

Good news! The first batch will be shipped today :)

      – Jussi / Team ST

  28. Erwin Montes

Why can’t you make shipping to Mexico? is it possible to ask for another shipping method?

  29. Denis

any plans for iphone compatibility? is there a software or hardware issue with iphone?
any change to make it happen in the future?

I have requested for cancellation of my pre-order (Order No: 14236) via email to orders@blog.sports-tracker.com but have not gotten any response. My payment was using PayPal.
Reason for cancellation is due to the HRM incompatibility with my phone (SE Xperia X10 mini)

My 1st email was sent on 24 Sept and a follow up email again today 27 Sept. Is the email address correct?

    Thanks

    1. Jussi Solja

      Hi!

We have received you cancellation and you will get an email confirming it shortly :)

      – Jussi / Team ST

        Thanks :-)

  31. torma99

    Hi!

I’d like to ask, do you know the exact date when you start shipping the HRM?Will we get some tracking numbers to follow our packets?

    1. Jussi Solja

      Hi!

We will send the tracking number to everyone when the HRM ships. Expect that early next week!

      – Jussi / Team ST

      1. torma99

Thank you for the answer!I can’t wait to get my hands on the HRM. :)

  32. xavier

I have already purchased the Polar Bluetooth sports Tracker compatible heart rate monitor few months ago. I am quite disappointed: After 2-3 runs, the batteries are empty or the HRM cannot connect. I have already used 3 batteries since I received it around 15 April. I do not use it that much: I run 2 or 3 times a week. I use to remove the HRM from the belt to make sure it is not working while I am not using it. Still, it suck the batteries.
Of course, the new HRM from Sports Tracker is rechargeable and it solve this problem. However I have purchased this heart rate monitor trough sport tracker website and i am a bit circumspect to purchase once again a HRM on Sports Tracker website

    1. Runner

It may sound strange: it depends on the battery. Some batteries are better than other batteries.
Sometimes I have to replace it after a few runs, others last for 15-20 runs. It helps to disconnect the holder from the strap after each run.
I just bought some batteries. One week later: the new belt showed up…. Now I have to use my “old” belt for quite some time.

    2. Spunk

I have used the hrm belt since mars on about 80 trackings no problems with the battery so far but it will not allways connect to my Nokia N8 at first attempt.

    3. AR2

Bruno: You are right. I tried it also. The battery lasted 2-3 times. Plus connecting w Blue Tooth was terrible. I tried really hard to make it work because I LOVE the ST website interface, but REALLY want the HR data. I tried unsnapping the HRM from the strap, taking the battery out, using different “kinds” of batteries (sorry Runner, didn’t work). I eventually got fed up with it and sent it back to Polar and went back to my Garmin device which ALWAYS automatically talks to the HRM that comes with it. Now trying to upload the .GPX file exported from my Garmin device to the ST website (which isn’t working either!) Then I saw this “new” product. I am willing to bet that the ppl at Sportstracker did NOT suddenly go out and get technical expertise on how to build an HRM. They got lots of complaints like ours, and probably worked out a deal with Polar to produce it and they just “brand” their name on it. But at this point I don’t trust buying another one of these even with the “fix” of the rechargeable battery and the promise that it can connect blue tooth at longer distances.

    4. Michael

I also purchased one back in April and I am very happy with mine. It locks on to SportsTracker straight away and with version 1.52 has been very reliable. Don’t think I have had one crash and I use it most days.
I make sure I take off the sesor part after use.
Make sure you wet the strap and do turn on bluetooth and GPS. :)

  34. Carlos

    Buenos dias,
    Muchas gracias

  35. rob

Is the battery life of this new heart-rate monitor so bad that you are affraid to publish it?

FYI: you won’t be getting any pre-order from me if I don’t know more about the unit.

    1. Jussi Solja

      Hi Rob!

The unit is rechargeable with the USB charger that comes in the package. With one charge the unit lasts 40 hours.

      Hope that helps!

      – Jussi / Team ST

  36. Mika

    Will it work whit E71?

    1. MontyN95

      The polar one does

  37. torma99

Did you conducted test about how much the HRM will reduce the standby time of a phone?

For example I have a Nokia N86 which last about 5-6 hours with STT while I can make 10-25 pictures with it. Using the HRM will significantly reduce my ability to track my workouts?

  38. carlos

When Ascent will be computed by ST? As the HRM only works with ST, to me Ascent is essential.

    1. Jussi Solja

Total Descent / Ascent is coming in future releases – first on the web service and later in the apps. No schedule yet but soon!

      – Jussi / Team ST

  39. Detlef

Would this Monitor also send Data to the Polar watch ? If not, is this feature planned ?

    1. Adam

That`s good question!!. I wonder does it work with Polar watches ?

    2. Jussi Solja

      Hi!

The HRM works with both Android and Symbian devices running the Sports Tracker app. It does not work with other devices.

      – Jussi / Team ST

  40. Jessica

    Hi,

Can you confirm that it actually works with the phone in a back pocket of shirt?

The previous Polar for Nokia HRM you released lost connection with the phone when it was in the back pocket of my cycling jersey. That’s only like 10cm distance at most; so I am wary of buying yet another one from you guys.

    1. Jussi Solja

Yes. We have conducted tests where users played Tennis wearing the monitor while having their phone in their equipment bag on the side of the court and the connection worked perfectly.

And this is the recording of my MTB-ride from last night wearing the HRM and having my phone in my backbag the whole time :)

      – Jussi / Team ST

  41. MontyN95

What’s the diff between this and the polar one I already have which works perfectly? What are the extra advantages and why should I buy this one?
Thanks looking forward to your response

    1. Jussi Solja

      Hi!

The main advantages are the extended connection range between the monitor and your phone + the rechargeable battery via the USB charger that comes in the package. The sensor is also more accurate in measuring your HR.

      Hope this helps!

      – Jussi / Team ST

  42. alessandro

hi,i ordered the HRM for my ST application on symbian…i live in italy, when will it be delivered?

    1. Jussi Solja

We will ship the monitors end of September :)

      – Jussi / Team ST

  43. Robert

Hi, I am thinking about preorder the new HRM but I read that polar has up 150 hours of battery lifetime, you say it is 40 for your HRM with built in battery, Isnt that a little bit low? What about ANT+ support?

    1. Jussi Solja

      Hi Robert!

The ST HRM battery is rechargeable so you don’t have to change it – just recharge it when needed :)

      – Jussi / Team ST

  44. TRV

I already have a polar HRM, why would I want this?

  45. Mattoni

    Hello,
I cannot find anywhere more information about size (width, height, depth) and weight the senzor. Next question is:”What does mean watter ressistent?” I guess it is not able to dive, but how deep can it go? Can You please answer me more details like this about it?

    Thanks. m.

  46. Giamaica

Hi Jussi, is this device supported by all the symbian phones or only by touch ones? Could you please confirm if my nokia N78 will support HRM? Thanks for you work!

  47. Bergie

    How is it worn?

    1. Jussi Solja

The HRM belt is worn around your chest just under your breasts to get the best possible “signal” from your heart :)

      – Jussi / Team ST

  48. Fred

Since the app is free, will the HRM be the source of income and hence the reason to not support ANT+ devices? Just to know if there is any idea of waiting for it. Many new smartphones comes with ANT+ support.

  49. marc

Does it work with other (Android) tracking softwares, or its usage is limited to Sports Tracker?
    Thanks

    1. Jussi Solja

      Hi!

The ST HRM only works with Sports Tracker :)

      – Jussi / Team ST

  50. BFC

When will one be developed for the iPhone?

    1. Jussi Solja

      Hi!

We are looking into solutions to support HRM on the iPhone :)

      – Jussi / Team ST

      1. Deepcore

have any estimate when HRM is compatible with iPhone ?

      2. kvinar

Hi, any news about iPhone support? I’m really looking for that.. ;) Thank you.

  51. Toni

Rechargeable HR-monitor is a HUGE advantage!

  52. Kevin Larkin

Will the new Sports Tracker Bluetooth HRM still work with my RS200 HRM?

  53. Johan

    Hi,
Is your new heart rate monitor a development of Polar or do you have a new technology provider?

    1. Jussi Solja

      Hi Johan!

The new HRM is not made by Polar.

      – Jussi / Team ST

      1. Ignaz

Hi Jussi, is it made by Zephyr then? The belt and the charger look similar to the ones of the Zephyr HxM. If yes, does it use the same communication protocol? That is, will it be compatible with apps that support the Zephyr HxM?

        1. Jussi Solja

          Hi Ignaz!

No it’s not made by Zephyr either. We have multiple component partners and the monitor, belt and the whole thing is designed and develop by our dev team here in Finland :)

          – Jussi

          1. xam

The cradle seems to be the same. Two leds, four gold contacts and the two snap fastener.
